Sometimes Kontakt won’t read imported midi or read the midi coming into Kontakt as the midi channel might be sending signals to a different channel than 1 (which is Kontakt standard).

Please create a new channel and load Kontakt to this channel.

1. Hit the “i” icon.

2. Make sure the midi channel is set to Omni.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Your virtual instrument should now be able to read the midi file.

If you are in Reaper and it still does not work try this:

1. Select all midi notes after importing.
2. Right-click and go down the menu to channel.
3. Check if the channel is correct. If you are unsure what the channel should be, start with 1. 


In Logic Pro X: 

Please open up region and check that your midi is set to Channel 1.
